Presbyterian Women exists at the local, regional, and national level of the church. All female members of CHPC are members. PW has a rich history of nurturing women and serving in  mission to the church and to the world beyond.

PW Caring Ministries :

  • PW Circles - A Circle is a group of women who meet monthly for Bible Study, friendship, and food. The Circle is the basic unit of PW activity. The Dorcas Circle meets the second Thursday of each month, September through May, at 10:00 AM in Fellowship Hall. The Bible study is based on the curriculum from "Horizon's". All women are welcome.

  • Quilters and Crafters For Mission - This group works on a variety of projects including quilting, knitting, crocheting, and crafting. All items are given to individuals, hospitals, families receiving CHPC mission care,  Church World Service, and others as mission opportunities are identified.

    • Quilters and Crafters make prayer shawls for people facing serious challenges, recovering from illness, or needing a loving hug of warmth. Completed shawls are blessed and available to those in need of comfort and love. Contact Mary Lou Moran or Alice Lebo if you know of someone who would benefit from a prayer shawl. All volunteers are welcome to help with this ongoing ministry.

  • Flower Delivery Ministry - Presbyterian Women coordinates delivery of the flower arrangements used at worship services to persons in the hospital or homebound.  If you would like to place flowers on the chancel for worship please contact the church office for information.

For information about any of these activities, contact Pam Thompson through the Church Office.

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God's Kingdom.
