Jerrold Tidwell, Organist
A native of Alabama, Jerrold Tidwell began his musical career at the age of 16, as pianist for his home church and high school choral programs. Jerrold has served throughout the Eastern United States as an organist, choral director, collaborative pianist and vocal coach, including posts at The University of North Alabama, Jacksonville State University, and Reinhardt University, and as Director of Music and Liturgy at The Basilica of St. Peter, in Columbia, South Carolina. While serving in South Carolina, Jerrold founded the Dutch Fork Choral Society, a non-profit community arts outreach, for the purpose of presenting larger sacred and secular choral works. Jerrold received his Bachelor of Music degree in Organ Performance and Sacred Music from the University of Montevallo, where he was a student of Dr. Betty Louise Lumby, and the Colleague Certification, through the American Guild of Organists. Prior to coming to Camp Hill Presbyterian, Jerrold was pursuing the Master of Arts degree in Choral Conducting from Radford University, in Virginia.
